Arthur and D.W. paperback repackage: written and illustrated by Marc Brown; published in paperback by Little, Brown, 2011; cover design by Liz Casal; cover effects: matte lamination, spot gloss
The first new Arthur adventure in years, Arthur Turns Green, inspired a repackage of Arthur’s entire backlist (and D.W.‘s too). Each book got a fresh new look: monotone borders made from interior spot art, unified title and byline design, and color blocked spines. The cover art was made by reworking the original art. The final silhouetted scenes were placed on a solid, bright background. And yes, the border of Arthur’s Underwear is made up of tiny tighty whities.
