SLOTHERHOUSE ANIMATED GIFS & MUSIC VIDEO

The team wanted to do something special for the soundtrack release. So I made a lyrics video for the original song, “Last Selfie,” by Candy Machine. I was inspired by illustrated music videos from my millennial memory, with a grunge girl aesthetic suited for Alpha. Illustrations and lettering were created in Adobe Fresco, finished in Photoshop, and animated in After Effects. The video and illustrated assets are populating Slotherhouse social media, GIPHY, and YouTube.

BALLER INA

I wanted to create special assets to promote my debut picture book, Baller Ina (Knopf Kids 2023). I created a short and sweet book trailer that stars Ina and sets up her story. I also created an interactive video inviting children to run, jump, and dunk with the graphics on screen. My sweet family voiced the commands.

SCHOOL OF MOTION

These simple motion graphics were made during the After Effects Kickstart course I completed last fall at School of Motion. I wanted to upskill in After Effects for years and finally carved out time to do it. This class left me with a deeper understanding of the program and the ability to finally play out my ideas in motion. It’s like magic: masks and shapes can turn into a complete breakfast; a deceptively simple write-on effect can feel handmade.
